DEEP Films Entertainment is proud to announce the launch of its new publishing division, DEEP Publishing. This exciting division will release 2 to 4 titles annually in the realms of science fiction, fantasy, romance and literary fiction, catering to Adult, New Adult and Upper YA (Young Adult) readers. DEEP Publishing will not only produce immersive worlds of fantastical adventure but will also foster a new generation of thought-provoking narratives.
At the forefront of DEEP Publishing’s launch is Rebecca Ihim, the visionary 28-year-old Founding Executive Director of DEEP Films Entertainment and Writer-Director who has written and directed theatrically released films, films streaming on Prime Video, Comcast, Apple TV and more.
The imprint is launching to primarily publish her work, with plans to bring a select few other voices to the DEEP Publishing brand.
Making her Feature Directorial debut at only 23 years old, what truly sets Rebecca Ihim apart is her innovative approach to storytelling. She broke the mold by engaging directly with her target audience, eschewing traditional focus groups and instead seeking the genuine responses of those who matter most. This connection is emblematic of her commitment to authenticity, a quality that shines through in her work.
Her content has amassed over 60 million views on TikTok alone. And her second and previous film surged to “Most Popular” on the Comcast Peacock affiliate platform, on “Xumo Sci-fi & Fantasy” for several weeks.
DEEP Publishing’s debut title is the highly anticipated “The Commons”, the breath-taking first book in a planned, action-packed six-book series. Set in an epic, dystopian 22nd-century college where conformity is mandatory, Shantavia must find her missing sister while surviving deadly tests and navigating a dangerous attraction to a powerful Patron.
